
Suzanne Pleshette, born 31 January 1937, and died 19 January 2008, was an American film theatre, television, and voice actress. [1] Pleshette started her career in the theatre and started appearing in films in the late 1950s. She then appeared in films with a notable name such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). From 1972 until 1978 Pleshette was a frequent guest in various TV productions. She also played Emily Hartley, which earned numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January of 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish and were the descendants of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was the stage manager in both the Paramount Theater as well as the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
