Anamaria Marina is a Romanian actor. She received the British Academy Television Award Best actress for her Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. She speaks fluently French, German and English. Her father is a theater instructor at one of Romania's top theater schools. The award was presented to her as the Best Female Actor of the Year 2000 Award at The Young Actor Gala Mangalia. In 2008 the European Film Promotion Board recognized her as the first European Shooting Star. She was in 2007 the lead role in the Romanian movie 4 luni 3 saptamani si2 (4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 days) which was directed composed by Cristian Mungiu (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days). The film received two awards at Cannes Film Festival (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System & the FIPRESCI Prize). Also, she appeared as an infant in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. She was also in 2008 as Yasim anwar, a character from the BBC five-episode miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca appeared as Yasim Anwar in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, as well as in the Romanian film Boogie. In the film Fury (2014) the actress played Irma she was a German woman, who served as Emma's aunt.
